EzyProfile Systems
The Australian Business Award for New Product Innovation recognises new products and services that provide innovative solutions for new and existing market needs.
Generations of tradespeople have constructed set-outs using pieces of wood, pegs, star stakes, nails, screws and other bits and pieces. For decades, builders have been taught to use this method at work and in training colleges despite its many drawbacks. It is inaccurate, time consuming, frustrating and wasteful, in terms of both materials and manpower. Mick Egan, a 58-year-old builder, then designed the Ezy Profile System after having enough of using the old profiling method. After many months of research, development and refining the manufacturing process, Ezy Profile finally came onto the market in 2013.
From 2013 to present, Ezy Profile has evolved with new products to become a complete, reusable profiling system for all types of building sites and usages. All products are designed to be used by a sole operator instead of the three or four that would usually be required using the old system, saving time and manpower both on the job and in the classroom. Additionally, the Ezy Profile places far less demand on time and financial resources for trainers. Unlike the past profiling systems, there is no requirement to regularly purchase and collect new materials due to the Ezy Profile’s durable design, while it also eliminates the need for additional equipment.
As all Ezy Profile systems are accompanied by video instructions, is it can easily be taught to students. The other major benefit to trainers is Ezy Profile’s compliance with workplace health and safety regulations. The kit is supplied with safety caps for the stakes and a 1 lb mallet in place of the 14 lb sledgehammer required when using old profiling methods.
Ezy Profile’s versatile and adjustable design ensures it can be used at any job site. It can be driven into hard surfaces such as concrete or asphalt and easily removed with no damage to the equipment. Ezy Profile Systems is being recognised for a New Product Innovation Award in the Australian Business Awards 2016.
